RevolGrips "Classic Contour" (C² for short) are a modern take on the original grips these weapons were designed with. Most grips on the market today try to fill in the sinus between the front strap of the grip and rear of the trigger guard. This methodology produces a trigger pull that is more like a semi-auto pistol being strait to the back, parallel to the bore axis. However, you loose space on the grip which often results in less than a four finger, full grip (or an extended grip that reduces concealability). With the "meat" of the grip in the front strap area, most manufacturers leave the back strap exposed to batter the web of your palm under recoil. Perhaps the worst drawback is the higher bore axis relative to the bone structures of your arm resulting in more muzzle flip, perceived recoil, and slower follow up shots.
C² EDC (Every Day Carry) grips closely follow the original lines of the grip frame and allow the weapon to sink deep into your hand mimicking the feel of the original factory scale grips these weapons came with. We add our "meat" to the grip in the back strap to increase the surface area and prevent the frame from battering your palm. Very similar to old "birds head" style grips, the C² rides up above the rear of the frame to ensure a full grip on the weapon that fills your hand and gives the lowest possible bore axis. There is a cut-out in the grip so if you have an exposed hammer you can still cock it and use the weapon in single action if you desire. If you wonder if these grips are right for you, take the grips off your pistol and hold it - if you like that feel, these are for you.
C² Polymer grips are 3D printed from durable PLA+ and have been extensively tested for several years. We offer a variety of attractive colors and three textures. Because of the printing process, the "Smooth" grips have layer lines that give a bit of purchase, but will not irritate skin or catch on clothing. The "Front Strap Stipple" texture give you a 60 grit sandpaper type texture where it counts on the front strap, but is still smooth on the back strap for carry comfort. The "Full Stipple" wraps that texture around the whole grip for maximum control.
